About
I built Nightdesk for myself first.
I’m Sheroze, and I build things at Coded Realities. Nightdesk started as a fix for my own evenings, nights and trips, and it’s still the app I reach for when my computer is somewhere I’m not.
01Why I built it
My Mac was in the office. I wasn’t.
Here’s the problem I kept running into. I’d be out and about with my wife, or we’d be going to bed, and my Mac would be in my office, still working on whatever I’d left it doing. Then I’d remember something.
Sometimes it was Claude Code waiting on a yes. Sometimes it was a change I’d meant to ask for, or a file I needed. Every time, the answer was in another room.
I wanted to pick up my phone and do it, or ask my computer to do it, and have it done. Not a whole desktop squeezed onto a small screen, but the things I actually reach for: the answers as keys when Claude asks, the terminal in text I can read, a whole prompt sent in one piece.
When I travel, my big MacBook stays at the hotel while I’m out, and Nightdesk reaches it from wherever I am, encrypted end to end, with nothing to open on the network.
I built it out of love, not just to sell it. It’s really useful, and every part of it started as something I needed. Most of those parts saved me buying a gadget.

02What I promise
The way I’d want it, as someone who uses it.
No account.
You pair with a code. The key that protects the link lives on your phone and your computer, and nowhere else.
I can’t see your screen.
The picture is encrypted end to end. Away from home, the relay passes it on without being able to read it.
No ads, nothing sold.
Nightdesk counts a few anonymous things, like how long sessions last, and you can turn that off. No data is ever sold.
Free on the computer you control.
You pay only on the phone or computer you use to reach it, after 14 days free with no card.
The privacy policy and pricing say it in full.
03The other app I built
Keyey
Say it instead of typing it.
Keyey is an Android keyboard with very accurate voice typing that runs on the phone itself. It gets names right, and it works with no signal. There’s a Mac app too. It’s free to start, with 2,000 words a week, and Pro makes it unlimited.
I pair it with Nightdesk to talk to my computer. I open Write in Nightdesk, say what I want, and the whole thought lands in Claude Code in one piece. It really speeds up my whole process.
Keyey is a separate app. Nightdesk works with any phone keyboard.
- An Android keyboard
- Accurate voice typing, on the phone
- Gets names right
- Works with no signal
- A Mac app too
- Free for 2,000 words a week
- Pro: unlimited
